What curriculum does Legacy Traditional school use? ›

All ELL students receive daily instruction that is aligned to the Arizona State Structured English Immersion (SEI) models. Each daily lesson includes four hours of daily instruction in the areas of grammar, reading, writing, oral conversation, and content vocabulary.

enVision aligns with both Common Core and Arizona State Standards, and is a tool to teach students a variety of instructional strategies that are in the curriculum.

What is enVision Mathematics? enVision packs a unique one-two punch. Lessons start with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), where students must think critically about a real-world math problem, evaluate options, collaborate, and present solutions. This is followed by Visual Learning to solidify the underlying math concepts.

enVision® Mathematics Grades K-5. enVision Mathematics is grounded in problem-based and visual learning to create fun and engaging environments that invite inquiry and discovery.

enVision Mathematics includes a comprehensive intervention kit called the Math Diagnosis and Intervention System, or MDIS for short. The MDIS includes intervention lessons, guided instruction, and diagnostic tests.

Dimensions Math is a visual and problem-based curriculum that teaches math concepts through real-life scenarios. Its USP is its focus on problem-solving. Its benefits include a strong focus on problem-solving, engaging stories and characters, and a visual approach to learning math. Grades: Pre-K to 5th grade.

Traditional curriculum can be seen in the long-established, in-person, classroom style of learning used in most schools. Its primary techniques are oral instruction, reading and reciting facts. It is a passive way of learning that involves listening, reading, taking notes and studying either individually or in groups.

Traditionalist curriculum is the approach developed out of classical ideas regarding public education and school curriculum. It assumes that curriculum is defined by content and subject, based on the identification, selection, organization, and evaluation of learning, (Majali, 2016).
