The Guthery Institute of Training in partnership with Reliable Community Care provides free Home Health Aide training in NYC to people keen to start their careers. The training duration is two to three weeks based on the level of certification desired. Complete training- (English and Spanish) is provided to prepare you to become certified as a Home Health Aide.

Free Home Health Aide Training in NYC - Option 6 – Family Services Society of Yonkers (FSSY)
The Home Care Department of Family Service Society of Yonkers (FSSY) Is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
FSSY offers free Personal Care Aide and Home Health Aide Training Programs, each approved by the New York State Department of Health. Students learn the theory and practice of home care and are transitioned into the field setting under the supervision of a professional nurse.

CMP promotes economic self-sufficiency and career advancement through equipping individuals with job & educational skills, credentials, leadership qualities, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
If you are receiving food stamps (but not cash assistance) then you qualify for free Home Health Aide training at CMP in lower Manhattan. Training runs Mondays through Fridays for 6 weeks, and includes test prep then taking the Home Health Aides certification exam.
The training is a parternship between CMP and Progressive Home Health Services, and students who become certified will have access to job openings through both agencies.
