I thought it would be nice to list all the archeology sites with actual unique rewards, so that we know which ones to prioritize, to expand towards, and wage war over. The rules are these: (1) Give a title name of an archeology site that gives unique reward, but do not spoil the reward. (2) If archeology event chain contains multiple sites, you can list all of them. (3) No need to list precursor sites.
Here's a few I have found:
The Grand Herald
The Endless Expanse
Ix Belen
Ruins

Thank you, but if you could edit out the reward spoilers. Also my idea was to list sites with unique rewards, which the Fossilized Remains and Ancient Tomb definately are, but I don't think 4k energy qualifies.

I sadly don't remeber the name, but it's very unique site so you would not miss it - there is a 5500 power fleet around shielded world.
First you dig the moon on this world and shield goes down. The you dig the planet itself and get miniature galaxy.

Whispers in Stone - Reward is 500 crystals and Lithoid Crystal Plant which upgrades normal Synthetic Crystals Plants - provides 3 translucer jobs, for base 6 rare crystals. Shame about the dead lithoids, though.

The Grand Herald needs to be tech restricted, so early in the game its technology is the equivalent of magic.
I'm 100% okay with exterminatus at the outset.

Agree +100
I'm okay with the idea but I've gotten it twice at the beginning of the game and it just feels like a cheat. I think it would be better as a tech boost or maybe access to several special techs like the shields and such that you may not be able to use right away but help out in the late-mid game. Right now it just kills any challenge in the game because none of my neighbors have any chance against it, the AI is bad enough without me having an unbeatable ship.

Klepto rats and ruined city are both Relic Worlds, which are exceptionally important for other reasons. I feel like they ought to be considered on the level of precursor events

Really sorry! I did not think about it. However, that I have not ruined anyone's fun. In the end, the story is still a secret... isin't it?

How does Ancient Tomb work with regards to the gaia worlds, does it "just" remove the colonization restriction from the gaia worlds that are there, and if so, does i remove it for everybody, or just the lucky owner of the site/artefact? So, assuming I'm not controlling those systems, should I delay the dig until I do, or will opposition be unable to colonize afterwards anyway?

The fallen empire no longer gets mad if you (and I'm pretty sure only you) colonize the holy worlds that surround the fallen empire (the ones they specifically warn you not to touch when you first meet them). They also get a +150 favorable opinion towards you. The relic itself can also summon a fallen empire fleet to fight for you, although I haven't personally tried this yet.
