Miniature donkeys are herd animals and they need the companionship of other herd type animals. While it is possible to get them to bond with horses, goats, and even cattle, the best companion for a donkey is another donkey, therefore, our preference is placing our donkeys into homes having at least one other donkey as a companion. We very, very rarely allow one of our donkeys to go to a home without other donkeys. Please keep this in mind when inquiring about any of our donkeys!
People have often asked us what the fascination is with donkeys. Well, the answer to us is their wonderful personalities. They are so friendly and easy to handle, are safe to be around, and are less expensive to keep than other equines. Miniature donkeys are very trustworthy around children, the elderly and the handicapped. They are easily trained to pull a cart, can be shown, and can even be ridden by small children. They are the perfect backyard pet!
If you are interested in any of our donkeys, please call or
email with any questions you may have. All inquiries are promptly answered. If you are looking for something special, contact us as we may have others available who are not currently listed here. Delivery is available in most circ*mstances for an added fee, or we'd be happy to meet you part way. Due to their sociable nature, please note that we will not allow one lone donkey to go to a home that does not offer at least one other donkey as a companion!
