The campus is walkable, thousands of people my age surround me making it easier to find friends, and my classes challenge me. Overcoming my first semester was tough, but I could finally find belonging once I got my routine down. I like the campus layout, the coffee shops planted all around, and the feeling of independence. I would like to see a bigger variety of food options and a little renovation to the older buildings, but other than that it is a great university with great people!... It instills services for transgender students like allowing them to use their chosen name on university accounts and on their ID without having to legally change their name; however, the university hospital will not treat transgender patients for transgender health care. The area itself is amazing, there are so many places to eat, so many foods of different cultures. Lots of boba, AYCE sushi, and a handful of hotpots! The people i meet at USF are very friendly and i dont know how so many people can be so hospitable. Theres so much diversity when you walk throughout campus, meeting so many different people of different cultures, its like the things you learn from different people just become a part of you! I had to continue with my mother's business so I started to apply for Florida Tech to continue my studies while working. The application process itself is easy and the advisors were very helpful in answering my questions and kept me updated. However, due to the unforeseen circ*mstance of my country during the military Coup d'état, I couldn't start any of the courses even after my acceptance. 27. #24 Best Colleges in FloridaJacksonville UniversityJacksonville, FL•4 Year•Rating 3.76 out of 5 817 reviewsAlum: My overall experience at Jacksonville University was wonderful! I was a double major at JU; I’ve obtained a BS in Kinesiology and a BA in Music. Both programs had great professors who all have definitely prepared me for graduate school (I’m currently a grad student at the University of Florida). I also love how small and close-knit the student community was at JU and it is something I definitely miss! The only downsides I’ve experienced at JU were crazy increases in tuition (private institute) and the lack of attention they paid to the music department. Our poor building was falling apart when I was a student there. The AC was broken for three years and some major pipes exploded and ruined many percussion instruments. 28. #25 Best Colleges in FloridaUniversity of TampaTampa, FL•4 Year•Rating 3.63 out of 5 2,447 reviewsFreshman: Overall I believe the University of Tampa is an excellent campus to be on. The teachers are very friendly and helpful to all students and actively engage with their course material. The aforementioned teachers also definitely seem to enjoy teaching the course and are very knowledgable on the material as well as very great guides for students. The faculties are amazing, I previously posted a review for another school which did not have any departments dedicated to scholarship aid or advice, however, the University of Tampa fufills all of those rolls and definetely makes the process of searching for what every individual needs extremely easy and comprehensive....
